And I agree...but I would almost argue that if you put aside the philosophical variations between them for a moment, the movie "GroundHog Day" accomplishes this with a bit more satisfaction with the ending.

(Yes, I know that there's a huge difference in the approach and that we're seeing the difference between an almost 30year "stream of consciousness" run by King - he's on record as to not knowing how the books will turn out as he writes them - and the slick scripting for a two-hour major motion picture meant to entertain for the short term. But I still think that the major "wheel" run to a better person was just ended better in the movie. That's my opinion, and I'm sticking to it!

)
Frankly, I would love to see a third book for "Talisman-Black House" which could quite well tie in the ending and the multiverses. Roland is even mentioned in "Black House" and "Insomnia", and could give rise to one more element towards that ending.
But as I mentioned before - that's MY desire, not King's responsibility. If KA is complete for the Dark Tower, then so be it...

And I still enjoyed the ride! Really was kinda spooked in "Wizard and Glass" with the references to "The Stand" Superflu...
Oh, one last thing - I just remembered that King cautioned all of us that the reunion of Susannah with an Eddie and a Jake should be considered the real ending, and that we should all enjoy the story, not look for the ENDING. So by bringing us back to the beginning again if we were foolish enough to continue, he might very well have been trying to correct our course in the same way he believes that Roland had to correct his.
Just some food for thought there...
