Not sure what you call higher paying, but my employer is hiring several tech jobs...

Where?  I have to look elsewhere I think.  I am running all VM Ware, AD Admin, Training Center Admin, Dyn GP Install and Upgrades, doing all the db maintenance too.  Travelling at 60% (yep so much for the 30% number they tossed at me in the interview), and now I have to take over our support board again as we are terming the new girl.  At work 10 to 12 hours a day (and you know its salary, so nothing like losing my home life for no benefit whatsoever).  I am just getting real sick and tired of the North Dakota lets pay people squat and expect the world attitude.  Oh and as of this morning since the new girl is gone, they expect me to ramp into hosting solutions in CRM and setting up a new remote hosted data center.  Yea, this blows....I am so da** tired I cant sleep enough, and I just can't keep up.  They are burning me out fast.  They told me its just a few more weeks, they have new prospects coming in, but the last two are terrible.  Suddenly my dull last engagement at the car dealer does not seem so bad.  I told the boss when he called me at 7:30 am on  Saturday to call me in that if he ever calls me on a Saturday morning again, I will quit on the spot.  I logged 65 hours this week, and I am done, it can wait till Monday.

Krakum - my post from earlier is still valid if you have an interest.  We are presently looking for sysadmins for Windows and Linux, and also a couple of positions for VM admins, Network admins and Storage admins.

Little if any travel, but I'll tell you now that it's not gonna pay boatloads.

Jobs here pay in the 40ish range and are 10-month with full state benefits and retirement plan.

Likely too late, but yea, I am done where I am at, the owner crossed some major lines this fall.

By the way, I am a grandpa, and she did not allow me to leave work.  Yea, not happy.  And when she apologized the next day, she said that "it just seems that your family seems to cause a lot of crisis"

Look on the jobs section of area hospitals. It sounds like you might have the skill a lot of the positions call for but that side of things is all greek to me so I may be completely wrong. Just a thought. Good luck to you. And that may have been one of the very few times it would have been ok to at least consider hitting a lady! I can't believe that.

SHe is not a lady, she is one of those I own my employee sacks of crap....was on the phone billing at 350 an hour and she interrrupted my call yesterday so I could swap keys for anoffice demo she wanted to do on our new hosted services systems (yea we are hetting the cloud with Great Plains...yea....)  Cant fliccking believe it, anyone with any common sense can swap out keys, and never interrupt a call that is billing....tired of it, and tired or being a serf.
