Wow that's amazing they gave you a loaner. That would not likely happen here.

 That is also me they gave you a loner bike. I have not seen that seal leaking on a bike that new but have seen it leak many times on older bikes. En ought so i keep them in stock here at the shop. Belive that is the same seal on the 2012 right on back to the carb days.

If you have the option to buy elthanol free gas buy that , you are waybetter off even if it means getting a sightly lower octane level. Just buy octane boost if you realy want the higher level

Octane Boosters in a can, 12-16 ounces will only raise octane 2-3 *points*, I.e. from 92 to 92.3. Maybe a bit more, read the label of what you are buying to find out.  So at Advanced Auto if you buy the "104 Octane Boost Maximum" you are shelling out about $92 per gal before tax, for maybe a 0.2-0.5 increase of octane.  Need more octane, just buy the higher marked real stuff at the pump.

But if you want yo make your own booster, you can put some stuff together at under $4 a gal or so.  You can get a up to a 6.0+ octane increase, not a typo, raising say 92 octane to 98+ octane.  Downside to this?  You need a 30% mixture so if your tank is low and you are about on reserve, you will need to carry around 1 gal of the stuff with you.

 Click here to find out more-> -> -> http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/misc/octanebooster.html

So like I said, just buy the good stuff if you want higher octane.

Hey.

I had a major leak 7 months ago after only 100km. Now after it has been repaired I have another leak. Really frustrating and and an X on what is an otherwise lovely bike.
