Click below for more eye candy than any of us deserve at one time.  Truely vintage motorcycles were what I actually learned on when I started riding in 1958 (and when they were new!).  It was a great pleasure to see in this show several iterations of bikes I owned myself or rode a lot that belonged to buddies.  Among them were my 1948 Harley FLH panhead police model, several Moto Parilla's (very rare now), NSU's and one of my favorites, the Honda CB72.  Each bike was great in their own way.

The show is put on by the Viking chapter of Antique Motorcycle Club of America with Minnesota chapter of Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club of North America today and continuing tomorrow with final judging.

Minnesota state fairgrounds, Saint Paul.  Enjoy the slideshow and get yourself over there if you can.

I love the Ariel Square Four. It's just an awesome bike. I also liked the old BMW touring bike and the Honda 750F. There were so many awesome old bikes at that show. Was the one in the last pic a Ruckus done up cruiser style?

Alternative indeed, wow that was a lot of pics, the Photobucket seemed more like a Photobarrel, in a good way.  A worthwhile few minutes to go through.  I started out thinking I would have a couple of favorites, but they just kept coming.

Oddly enough, I think the John Deere made the biggest impression, because the line from the Vince Gill song about "She might have took my car keys, but she forgot about my old John Deere" instantly came to mind, and how I don't think she would have forgotten about it if this had been the John Deere in question.
