I am thinking scoops to make the bike look BAD.

i was thinking the same thing  taking out the radio and the speakers and turning the speakers holes in to air units minus the working part of it i was thinking shelby mustang air intakes like you find on the back by the doors but only smaller i just have to find someone to do the plastic work Undecided

yes but how would it be functional?  I was thinking more alnog the lnes of removing the speakers and wings and just somehow making a nice smooth piece to cover the hole so the body lines are more contoured

I removed the speaker boxes and this allows a lot of room inside the bike.  I think the scoops would force more air across the engine. Down here in central Florida that is a plus. I also like the idea of a plate with graphics on them to cover the holes where the wings are. If you find someone to do the plastic let me know, please.

yea but I dont think it would help cool it off that much.  And think about the stuff that could go in through the scoops and damage the already gentle hosings and what not.  Now if the scoops where functional....maybe reroute the air intake duct and do like a CAI for the V5 that would be awesome but then you would have to adjust the a/f ratio and what not.  Definately something worth looking into

The scoops will have some wire mesh inside so bugs and junk can't get inside the bike.  Any outside air across the engine would be a good thing. I have a yellow bike so I am thinking black scoops.

well of course air is a good thing especially if you put a screen on it.  But I wonder if it is possible to make a scoop that is like a forced air induction so to speak?   Like a ram air for sports cars?

I am thinking that forcing air into that small carb would not do any good. Scoops are just for looks and some air into the bike.
