We have been hearing of a larger CC  GV 650 for several years now and has never materialized. I am not holding my breath any longer. Small cc bikes even the sport bikes get no cred here in the US. No matter how well they perform or how good they look.

If you're on Facebook and want a better glimpse into the company, add "Motors Snt", the official S&T Motors FB page. It's mostly in Korean but Facebook can roughly translate each posting for you. A lot of it is pretty basic (talking about weather and lunch) but it could be worth keeping an eye on!

Just a quick heads up that Hyo US says that these new paint jobs should be in America by April!

Me too! I think they both look great. I thought they were coming next year (which is why I started to part out my bike to prep getting one) but now that they're going to be here in a month, I'm already fiending for one!

The only thing that looks dumb is the "SPORTS" text at the bottom. WTF does that even mean? Even "SPORT" would have made more sense.

Sorry to double post but S&T Motors replied to my question last night. Looks like nothing above 1000cc coming.

"Motors Snt Thx, Will Petraska :-)
Sorry, We have no plan to make 1000cc bikes in near future.
We'll try more."

The 1000cc thing started back in 04 or 05 if memory serves me correctly. Someone took a pic of a GV650 and posted it on the bikez site and listed it as a GV1000. That got the forums buzzing that it surely was on the way. Never was and never will be. Problem with a sporting 1000cc motor is the market has shown it's not a popular segment. Remember the SV1000, yeah that didn't do so well and it's no longer available. The motor is still in the vstrom but I wouldn't be surprised to see it dropped in the near future.

Well, I hope that S&T realizes that every darn engine imported into the US doesn't have to be a V-Twin. We have plenty of those. Think of other engine configurations!

Eh, but we have plenty of inline 3's and 4's as well. V4's are mighty expensive to develop as well.

or the rc51 (discontinued), or TL1000 S and R (discontinued in favor of the SV1k)... but what about Ducatis, the vmax, warrior, vrod, etc? large twins (or v-4's) are not dead, and in power cruisers they seem to do well enough.
