25 Apr 2006 - PIPE DOWN

I thought this would be of interest to the pipe builders and replacers on this forum.

In a message entitled "Something We Never Want to Lose" on his company's website, Harley-Davidson Motor Company President and CEO Jim McCaslin tackles the issue of motorcycle noise and the increasing backlash motorcycling is experiencing as the result of loud pipes. Citing a four-fold increase in negative media coverage during the last decade, bans on motorcycles in some communities, attempts to curtail major motorcycle events, anti-tamper legislation, and other limitations of freedom for motorcyclists as the result of complaints about loud pipes, McCaslin says, "We all, every Hog lovin' one of us, must do everything we can to protect our sport and keep it as strong as it is today."

Jim McCaslin is President and CEO of Harley-Davidson Motor Company.

In other words, it's time to pipe down.

21 Apr 2006 - Moving on.....

I've moved certain threads to the trash bin. Those interested know the threads I'm referring to.

Upon request I can/will restore them for comment. It's fairly easy to do. Just reply here and I'll take care of it.

I just thought we all probably want to just move on. If I'm wrong, I apologize for presuming.

20 Apr 2006 - SQL Errors

I've been getting SQL database error emails ever since I moved the forums to alternativecruisers. I have a friend who's a guru at this. I have asked him to optimize the damn thing and fix any errors he see's. I'll be creating an admin ID for him so he can put the forum in maintenance mode while he does so. My apologies for any inconvenience, but I'm tired of worrying if the sites going to explode or something.
